One message is all it takes for complete chaos to break loose.

Group chats have a funny way of getting completely out of paw. One message turns into ten, ten turns into a hundred, and before long nobody remembers what the original conversation was even about. If cats had their own group chat, it probably wouldn't look much different.

The first message would be important for about thirty seconds. Someone would announce breakfast, another cat would immediately change the subject, and before long the entire chat would be filled with blurry bird photos from the window. One orange cat would somehow send 47 messages in a row without saying anything useful, while the tuxedo cat would only respond with a single judgmental reaction before disappearing for the rest of the day.

Every cat group chat would have its regulars. One feline would insist on sharing daily loaf updates. Another would flood the chat with close-up toe bean photos nobody asked for. The neighborhood cat would randomly appear once a month, drop one mysterious "mrrp," refuse to explain, and vanish again. Someone would inevitably start hissteria over an empty food bowl, even though it had only been empty for twelve seconds.

Making plans wouldn't get any easier. Half the chat would vote for the sunny windowsill, the other half would campaign for the cardboard box, and one stubborn cat would ignore every message before showing up six hours late like nothing happened. The meeting would be postponed after someone spotted a bug on the ceiling anyway.

Maybe it's better that cats don't have phones. The notifications would never stop, nobody would stay on topic, and the group name would probably change three times before lunchtime.

There's nothing quite like getting roasted in the group chat. One harmless typo or questionable photo is all it takes for everyone to pile on. Fighting back usually makes it worse, so sometimes the smartest move is to accept defeat, reply with a simple "lol," and hope the chat finds a new victim. The teasing never really stops, but surviving the roast is practically a rite of passage in every group chat.

Does anyone actually read every message in the group chat? Or has everyone quietly accepted that they'll never be fully caught up? Missing 20 messages is manageable. Missing 247? At that point, it's easier to scroll until something looks interesting and pretend nothing important happened. If it was really urgent, someone would probably bring it up again.

Every group chat needs that one friend who's always cheering everyone else on. Whether it's celebrating a new job, hyping up an outfit, or reminding someone they absolutely crushed a presentation, those messages somehow hit a little differently.
